Feature: The Passion of Christ Richmond

The Passion Richmond is a town-centre performance featuring the dramatic biblical events leading to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. London Network Scaffolding Special Projects Limited provided five Layher UK scaffold event stages for the performance.

Residents were shocked to see Jesus passing through the town centre over the Easter weekend.

The son of God, his disciples and a group of Roman soldiers passed through Richmond on Good Friday as part of the Easter Passion Richmond Play.

An anonymous bystander said: “It was a very moving performance, really well done, and also a strong reminder of how God demonstrated his love for us all”.

The Passion Richmond follows the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

It was performed by a cast, choir and crew of about 80 people from churches of all denominations from around the borough.

More than 2,000 people followed the performance, which was directed by Peter Cregeen, former head of series at the BBC.
